The Bureau of Land Management, in partnership with the
Southwest Natural and Cultural Heritage Association, has
opened the Arizona Public Lands Information Center in Phoenix.
The Center will be providing a variety of resources for the
outdoors-oriented in one convenient location:
    
INFORMATION: National Parks (Dept. of Interior) and
National Forests (Dept of Agriculture),  BLM (Bureau of Land
Management), National Wildlife Refuges (US Fish and Wildlife
Service),  Arizona State Parks, Arizona State Trust Lands,
Arizona Game and Fish Wildlife Areas

MAPS: For all of the above plus Indian Country, Tourism and
Recreation
    
BOOKS: Arizona History and Culture, Native People, Natural
History, Childrens, Environmental Issues
    
GUIDEBOOKS: Sightseeing, Wildlife Viewing, Camping, Hiking,
Mountain Biking, Fishing, Bird Watching, Rock Hounding, Historic
Sites, Winter Sports, Wilderness Areas
    
LICENSES & PERMITS: Golden Eagle, Golden Age, Golden Access
Passports, Arizona State Park Annual Permits
    
The Center is located at 222 N. Central Ave., Phoenix (across
from the Bank One Bldg.) Hours: Monday through Friday 7:30 am
to 4:30 pm closed weekends and holidays
