Subject: Everything You'd Never Know About Arizona

[ AzTeC / SWA SASIG ] :

Have you ever pondered 'Why doesn't Cordes Junction take
you to Cordes?' 'Where was the earliest action for which
a Medal of Honor was awarded?'. "Everything You'd Never
Know About Arizona If You Had Missed This Talk" will be
presented by Colonel Lloyd Clark. Col. Clark has been an
Army Officer, public administrator, historian, and teacher.
He founded the Council on Americas' Military Past (CAMP),
and he founded the Papago Trackers whose members retain
historical records of the military usages of Papago Park
(formerly a WWII PW camp in Phoenix AZ).

"Everything You'd Never Know About Arizona If You Had
Missed This Talk" will be presented on Tuesday March 3,
1998 at 7:00pm at the University Club, 39 East Monte
Vista (across from the Heard Museum). The talk is sponsored
by the Arizona National Guard Historical Society in
conjunction with the Arizona Humanities Council. Admission
is free, but there is a charge of $7.50 per person for
Hors D'oeuvres. RSVP by sending your $7.50 per person check
to the AZ National Guard Historical Society, 5636 East
McDowell Road, Phoenix AZ 85008; Attn: Col. Johnson, Director.
