9:10 	Conventional History of Arizona;  Speaker: Marshall Trimble  -  An 
        entertaining presentation on a "traditional" history of
        Arizona, Surveying major events of the past century
11:00   Religious Influences in Arizona - A panel of representatives from 
        various religious groups will present an objective overview
        about the influence of religion on Arizona's development.
11:45   Luncheon at Heritage Square
1:00 	Ethnic Influences in Arizona - A panel of leaders of various ethnic 
        groups will describe the influence of various groups on the
        Valley and underscore the strength that these groups have brought to 
        our communities. Panelists will provide a brief summary
        presentation followed by small group with each of the panelists
4:30	Conclusion
5:00 	Post - Day Gathering at Coyote Springs (Optional)

General Conference Information

The Conference site is the Phoenix Museum of History located in downtown 
Phoenix at 105 N. Fifth Street.  A form for pre-paid advance registration is 
included.  Registration register prior to January 24, 1996 to ensure proper 
arrangements may be made for our facilities and meals.  Non-members may wish 
to take advantage of the lower member registration fees by including the 
enclosed AMMAA membership form and dues when registering for the conference. 
 The conference registration fee includes continental breakfast, luncheon, 
and light refreshments in the afternoon.  The registration fee also includes 
a book from author and speaker Marshall Trimble.  An optional 
post-conference gathering will be held at Coyote Springs in downtown 
Phoenix.  Registration does not include the costs of this gathering.  Hors' 
d'oeuvres and beverages will be at the expense of those attending.

A block of rooms has been set aside at the Holiday Inn Crowne Plaza for 
conference participants at a nightly rate of $96 for single or double 
occupancy.  Room reservations must be made directly with the hotel by 
January 16, 1997 to receive the special room rate.  The hotel's reservation 
number is (800) 359-7253 ' When you call, please mention that you will be 
attending the AMNM conference so that you will receive the special 
conference room rate.  The hotel is located at 100 N. First St., Phoenix.

In the event prepaid registrants are unable to attend the conference, a 50 
percent refund of the conference registration fee will be issued if 
cancellations are made by January 24, 1996.  Cancellations must be made to 
Natalie Veidmark, City of Phoenix, (602) 495-5147.  All hotel room 
cancellations must be made directly with the Holiday Inn.

Parking for the Phoenix Museum of History is located in the parking garage 
on the southeast comer of Monroe and Fifth Street.  Please let the attendant 
know that you are attending the AMMAA Conference to avoid being charged 
parking fees.  Parking costs are included in your registration.

Fee is $60 for members.  Non members have a registration fee of $70.
