Message #327: From: AzTeC SW Archaeology SIG To: "'Matthias Giessler'" Subject: Grand Canyon ARPA Training Date: Wed, 20 Aug 1997 10:07:52 -0700 (PDT) From: Martin McAllister The FLETC Archaeological Resources Protection Training Program at Albright Training Center at Grand Canyon National Park, Sept. 15-19, is filling up, but there is still room in the class if you are interested in attending. As posted here before, the class is open to all federal, tribal, state, and local law enforcement officers, archaeologists, and specialists in related fields (e.g. historians, curators). The class will begin at 8:00 AM Monday, Sept. 15, and end by noon on Friday, Sept. 19. The tuition fee is normally $250 per person or less. Lodging will be at the training center. I have been advised by the NPS that the lodging charge at the center is $25 per night for a single (first come, first serve on availability) and $15 per night for a double. (Based on my experience at the center, each person in a double has their own room in a two bedroom apartment.) Federal and tribal personnel should apply for the class throught their law enforcement organizations. State and local personnel should contact the FLETC class coordinator Woody Jones at (912) 267-3042. If you have any questions, give me a call at (406) 728-7195.
