Message #317: From: AzTeC SW Archaeology SIG To: "'Matthias Giessler'" Subject: Guadalupe Fimbres - La Nina Bronco Date: Mon, 11 Aug 1997 17:22:12 -0700 RE: Message 310 From: Ben Brown email@example.com Instituto Nacional de Antropologia e Historia I believe [the article refers to] Guadalupe Fimbres who was found in the thirties. The Gobierno del Estado de Sonora published a book length account about 12 or 15 years ago. I have lost my copy but will find the correct title if you are interested. She married and lived in the Casas Grandes area until about 1948. She was buried in the NCG [Nuevo Casas Grandes] cemetry but I could find no head stone. The members of the Fimbres family that I interviewed could not remember in which part she was buried and they had not been back there since her burial. There is a book in Danish? by Inge Helgstat? (the same chap who found C1nse au Meadows in Canada) that deals with a visit he made to the Sierra in the 30's and the "last Apaches."
