I am a member of the Texas Archaeological Society (TAS) and a board member
of Tarrant County Archeological Society (TCAS) in Fort Worth, TX. As a
member of TAS and TCAS, I have participated in many digs/surveys in TX and
NM. The most recent, a wooly mammoth about 15 miles from my home! My
primary interest is Anasazi culture. I am part of team, made-up of TAS and
TCAS members, that works north of Grants NM each summer (we did not work
there this year). In 1994, we located what turned out to be an Anasazi
pottery firing site. We completed excavation last summer and have not
published any information on it. I am looking to share our information
with others that have found similar sites. Only a few trench kilns have
been recorded. There were several located at mesa verde 2-3 years ago.

Thanks,
