Here's a list of upcoming activities for the Homolovi Chapter of the Arizona 
Archaeological Society.  I will be sending these in to the Petroglyph, but I 
may have missed this month's edition!  The public is welcome at any of these

September 26- Visitor Center parking lot will be the site of the park's 
Lunacy Night.  Join Ranger Larry Thomas in watching the last full lunar 
eclipse until the year 2000!

October 15, 1996   Chapter meeting, 7pm, Homolovi Ruins State Park Visitor 
Center.  Rich Boston, Mogollon District Archaeologist, Coconino National 
Forest, will speak on what is happening in his area. We are particularly 
concerned about a newly popular rock climbing site in Jack's Canyon. 
 Although the routes do not impact rock art, the climbers are camping in the 
surrounding area.  Some climbers have been camping at Homolovi (we have

Center.  Ekkehart Malotki will be the speaker.  We do not yet know the 

November 23, 1996  Third Annual Homolovi Ruins Fun Run- 10k & 2 mile.  Come 
run & then enjoy the Winslow Christmas Parade!

December- no meeting, but we may have a potluck.

March 1, 1997- Traditional Storytelling Day.  More information later!
