The University of Nevada-Reno has announced it will offer "NAGPRA: 
Implications and Practical Application" five times this academic year.  The 
three day course is designed to help those affected by the law to  comply in 
a timely and meaningful manner. The course also focuses on recognition of 
potential problem areas in order to allow for  prospective planning and 
avoidance of court intervention. The course is taught by Honorable Judge 
Sherry Hutt and Dr. C. Timothy McKeown. The course will be offers on the 
following dates:

October 16-18, 1996, in Phoenix, AZ (prior to the annual meeting of National 
Congress of American Indians)
November 18-20, 1996, in San Francisco, CA (prior to the annual meeting of 
the American Anthropological Association)
April 6-8, 1997, in Nashville, TN (following the annual meeting of the 
Society for American Archaeology)
April 23-25, 1997, in Atlanta, GA (prior to the annual meeting of the 
American Association of Museums)
May 5-7, 1997, in Anchorage, AK (prior to the annual meeting of Keepers of 
the Treasures)
