Message #362: From: AzTeC SW Archaeology SIG To: "'Matthias Giessler'" Subject: 'Current Research - Southwest' Getting Ready to Debut Date: Mon, 04 Nov 1996 12:58:41 -0700 Encoding: MIME-Version: 1.0 Southwestern Archaeology (SWA) sent an individual e-mail message to each of the 274 persons on the SASIG e-mail list. The message stated: "Info -- please give the sasig group an 'current research' update on any of your recent SW archaeology and anthropology work for SWA's new current research section." SWA seeks summaries of current Southwestern archaeological and anthropological research much like those once published in American Antiquity (Remember...??). We hope to receive detailed statments describing 1996 archaeological field work and reporting, and other types of anthropological research. SWA will accept submissions from institutions and organizations conducting research in and about the American Southwest. Unaffiliated researchers who can provide compelling reports of individual research effort also will be recognized in this electronic forum. The deadline for article submissions is DECEMBER 10, 1996. Please submit your 'Current Research - Southwest' article to firstname.lastname@example.org. SWA will publish the first installment of 'Current Research - Southwest' on the SWA webpage around January 1, 1997. We expect to make the service a permanent feature of SWA, with updates two or three times a year depending upon public and profesional need. Our Editor for 'Current Research - Southwest' will be announced with our premiere issue. At your earliest opportunity, please tell us about your research efforts. We look forward to receiving your e-mail contributions of electronic text. If you wish to include graphics with your text, please discuss your format with us before sending graphics files.
