The UNM-NMAC Archaic Conference tentative dates have been changed to October 25 and 26, 1996. We may also have sessions on October 24. The Anthropology Department and Maxwell Museum, University of New Mexico and New Mexico Archeological Council announce a "Conference on the Southwest Archaic," to be held at the University of New Mexico, Albuquerque, on October 18 and 19, 1996. The conference will include invited and contributed papers, the latter subject to acceptance by the organizers. The conference will bring together researchers from CRM, university, and museum settings to explore our understanding of region-wide research issues and the rapidly expanding data base. The conference also seeks to build cooperative relationships and exchange of information among researchers interested in the Southwest Archaic.
