NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING: ARIZONA ARCHAEOLOGY ADVISORY COMMISSION
Notice is hereby given to members of the Arizona Archaeology Advisory 
Commission and the general public that the Commission will hold a meeting 
open to the public on Thursday, August 29, 1996 at 10:00 a.m. in the Arizona 
State Parks Board Room (basement), 1300 W. Washington, Phoenix, pursuant to 
 A.R.S. 38-431.02 and A.R.S. 41-511.01. The Commission will discuss and may 
take action on the following matters:

A.   Call to order.
B.   Introduction of members, SHPO staff, and guests.
C.   Approval of Minutes. Consideration of the minutes from the May 30, 1996 
     Commission meeting.
D.   Old Business/New Business. The Commission will discuss, and may vote 
     on, the following items:

     1. Old Business.
          a. 1997 Archaeology Awareness Month Planning Report.
          b. Site Steward Program Update.
          c. Review of Guidelines for Archaeological Park Development.
          d. Commission's Three-Year Plan -- Continued discussion of goals.

     2. New Business.
          a. State and Federal Legislative Issues.

E. SHPO Report.
F. Public Comment.
G Call for Agenda Items and Schedule for Next Commission Meeting.
H. Adjournment.
