I encourage interested parties get in touch with me if they have
suggestions or comments:

FYI, I am still working on the idea of starting a seminar here on CRM and
preservation policy, and have been in touch with Mike Adler in
this regard. Texas faces a host of issues in preservation--a lot of
vandalism and pot hunting, especially on private lands. And the state still
has no unmarked graves legislation. I'd eventually like to do for Texas the
kind of study which Grand Canyon Trust did for the four corners and come up
with some policy recommendations. Think I could get some funding for such a
study.

BTW, had a good taste of dirt archaeology at Crow Canyon in July, working
with Mark Varien at Woods Canyon (a P III site) on BLM land. Fascinating
stuff.

Cheers, Dick
