CONFERENCE SITE LAYOUT

As in past years, the Conference tents and day parking will be located in the south part of the meadow at the Flagstaff Hotshot Ranch. Access to this area is via an all-weather road but the parking area is in the meadow and may be muddy if it rains. A separate ‘disabled’ parking area close to the tents (also in the meadow) will be available ONLY for those vehicles with official placards or license plates.

This year camping will take place at the northeast end of the meadow. Tent and car camping will occur along a loop road within the trees. Those with low-clearance cars please follow signs and flagging to avoid road sections that require high clearance. RV and trailer camping will be along a two-track road on the edge of the meadow; the ground in this area can be uneven so please check before you pull off the road to park.

The camping areas are somewhat removed from the conference tents this year, but it’s a lovely walk through the meadow. A bicycle would also be an excellent choice for commuting. Driving along the two-track road between the camp area and the conference tents is NOT ALLOWED due to a surface water line and two archaeology sites (barricades will be set up to prevent driving).

Turn right (north) onto Snowbowl Road (FR 516) and continue 1 mile. The turnoff onto the dirt road through the conference and camping area is just before Snowbowl Road makes a 90-degree turn to the right (east).
